In a storybook setting, a unique art event brings together art as inspiration and therapy
An artistically-inspired Texas Hill Country venue will be the ideal backdrop for a very special art event on Thursday, August 16, 2012, from 6pm - 9pm, when Camp Lucy in Dripping Springs provides the setting for an inspired -- and inspiring -- art exhibition presented by CORE Health Foundation and Generous Art. The unique art event will feature work by professional artists and CORE Health Care clients who have sustained brain injuries and who have begun a studio practice as part of their rehabilitation therapy. Proceeds from the exhibition will benefit CORE Health Foundation, a disability advocacy organization removing barriers for people with disabilities through research, education, and community projects, as well as benefit the participating artists, and the community work of Generous Art.
Along with amazing art, attendees will enjoy the storybook setting of Camp Lucy, including the French Colonial chapel and pavilion, majestic Events Hall, and gorgeous grounds, while savoring scrumptious hors d'oeuvres, cocktails by Dripping Springs Vodka, wine courtesy The Dudley's Wine Bar & Tap Room, and beer by St. Arnold Brewery. Additional event sponsors include Articulture Designs and Texas French Bread. There is a suggested donation of $10 and RSVPs are appreciated. For more information, and to RSVP, contact info@corehealthfoundation.org or call 512-968-0080.
