Camp Lucy Announces In-house Catering and Supper Club

Acclaimed chef Rob McMahon and catering guru Tiffany Keith bring their culinary expertise to Whit Hanks’ leading Texas Hill Country wedding and special event venues

Dripping Springs, TX – July 11, 2013 – Camp Lucy, the acclaimed wedding and special event venue development by Whit Hanks, today announced the addition of in-house catering. Whim Catering at Camp Lucy, headed up by Chef Rob McMahon and Catering Director Tiffany Keith, launched at the first of this month. The duo join Camp Lucy from highly-rated Austin Catering where McMahon created unforgettable dining experiences and garnered rave reviews since 2008. In addition to offering in-house catering for weddings and special events at Camp Lucy, a monthly supper club will launch in the coming months.

“We are so excited to be able to take the Camp Lucy experience to the next level with world-class, in-house catering,” said Hanks. “The ability to have amazing food prepared on-site with no travel time, other than from our kitchen to your wedding or event, makes a tremendous difference in quality.”

Camp Lucy's in-house catering offers custom menus for every taste and budget and is all prepared by, and under the direction of, McMahon whose experience as a chef includes the Ritz-Carlton in New Orleans, exclusive private clubs in Virginia, and his own acclaimed restaurant, The Orchid Bistro, in Tennessee. While McMahon cooks, Catering Director Keith, whose catering experience includes many of Austin’s premier events, will handle the business side. In addition to Camp Lucy, the Whim Catering team will also be working with other Hill Country venues.

"Rob is a quiet guy who lets his food do the talking,” said Hanks. “People are going to be blown away by what he’ll bring to the Hill Country food scene.
