Open House Vendor Spotlight: Hill Country Strings

On September 22nd, Camp Lucy is holding an Open House that will not only feature the official debut of our new venue, Sacred Oaks, we will also be host to an amazing line-up of vendors at both venues - our legendary original venue Ian's Chapel and Sacred Oaks. As we excitedly count down the days to the Open House, we're taking the opportunity to feature each of our Open House vendors. In the spotlight today is the melodic Hill Country Strings.

Founded by the multi-talented violinist and saxophonist Thomas van der Brook, Hill Country Strings offers string quartets, woodwinds, brass and a variety of instrumentations for weddings and special events. Did you know that a string quartet has two violins, a viola and a cello, and was first used in the mid 1700s? This small string music ensemble remains the preferred classic ensemble worldwide, but with an adventurous repertoire and open minds, in addition to the timeless classics, Hill Country Strings are constantly writing new arrangements for their clients, and their books already have over 70 pop selections from which to choose.
