Love Is Sweet! The Dessert Table Trend

One of our favorite current food trends is a particularly sweet one - the luscious, heavenly dessert table. Camp Lucy Catering Director, Tiffany Keith, says couples are taking their already gorgeous wedding cakes over the top by integrating them with an abundance of other "pick-up" sweets, from simple jars of candies to decadent Southern-themed spreads of Mini Peach Cobblers, Banana Pudding Bites, and Pecan Praline Bars. Some couples are even using the dessert table to take their wedding's color theme to the sweet extreme with color-coordinated cake, candies, cakepops, and more. And to make sure your dessert table gets the star treatment it deserves, highlight it by using beautiful linens or a unique a table. Wine barrel bars topped with lavish dessert bars make for unforgettable receptions. Use florals – from a sprinkle of petals to a halo of blooms – and cake stands of varying heights and styles add depth and interest and ensure the cakes and treats stand out.
